Tami VandenBerg has elevated the discussion on homelessness and social equity, preserved historic buildings, stabilized neighborhoods, fostered locally-based humanitarian efforts, and strengthened both the physical and social fabric of Grand Rapids. Her leadership at Well House has shed light on the physical constraints that the built environment can sometimes create and has provided meaningful people-centered solutions. Under her careful guidance, the organizations has moved 77 homeless people into dignified homes, effectively giving them not only a roof over their heads but more importantly, roots in a place.
