Looking to move from their office of 30 years, Miller Johnson relocated to the top four floors of the Arena Place Building in the spring of 2016. The new office blends today’s informal work styles with those of a traditional law office space.
Warm wood accents and abundant views of the city with a large, accessible balcony establish an open and inviting feeling on the client-focused 11th floor. A variety of conference rooms in different sizes can be found throughout. The rooms are full of natural light and modern finishes ensuring a perfect client experience and providing employees with the best spaces to work with clients efficiently and privately. The conference rooms boast the latest in technology from digital meeting organizers at each door, large monitors, and technology equipped custom tables to aide in client communications.
Every conference and meeting room is named after a lake in the area, giving the space a local touch. Some conference rooms have a circular table, a different feel for a law office where groups are generally separated on each side of the table. Going down to the 9th floor you’ll find The Beach, a lunch room with natural light pouring in, designed to give employees a relaxing break from their work.
On levels 8-10, the employee floors, you’ll find a central communicating stair anchored by a café that creates a gathering space for informal meetings and work-day celebrations. The central space and layout of the office promotes interaction and communication between employees throughout the day.
Traditional private offices with two glass walls provide natural light deep into the central office core. The offices are surrounded by informal collaboration areas and work spaces around the buildings perimeter, which provide an alternate work environment for staff with views of the city and plenty of natural light.
