Architect and educator Brian Craig, AIA, utilizes his architectural abilities to serve humanity and create a sustainable future. Since starting his career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Afghanistan, Brian has led and designed major architectural projects, founded a Master of Architecture program, taught architecture, and practiced sustainable architecture locally, nationally, and internationally.
Brian’s commitment to Grand Rapids includes having served as the 2000-2002 President of the GRPS Board of Education. Brian’s board leadership resulted in a successful $165 million 2004 ballot proposal to fund new and renovated schools. He has served on numerous community boards.
Brian is currently the founding Director of the Master of Architecture Program of Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University. As the first professional architecture degree in West Michigan, the KCAD MArch engages students, faculty and professionals in the pursuit of architecture deeply rooted in a sense of place and community.
