Michael Belisle has worked for The Design Forum Inc. for 13 years. Despite his years of experience, people still mistake him for being right out of school as he was born with a baby face. Luckily, after 3 children, he is starting to see some wrinkles and his wife has noticed a few gray hairs here and there.

Dan Tyrer is a senior design architect with GMB ae in Holland, MI. Dan was an associate AIA member prior to becoming a licensed architect in the State of Michigan in 2009 and has since been a professional AIA member. In addition to licensure, he is also a LEED Accredited Professional, and has achieved EDAC certification for Evidence-Based Design in healthcare.

Student Scholarships

AIA Grand Rapids has selected four women to receive its annual student scholarships to assist in continuing their architectural educations. Typically, a scholarship is awarded to one or two students, but this year the committee felt all four of these women deserved the scholarship.
