AIA GRAND RAPIDS SELECTS FOUR WOMEN TO RECEIVE $2,500 IN STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP MONIES!

AIA Grand Rapids has selected four women to receive its annual student scholarships to assist in continuing their architectural educations.   Typically, a scholarship is awarded to one or two students, but this year the committee felt all four of these women deserved the scholarship.

Erin Martin of Cadillac received a $1,000 scholarship.  Erin is working to complete her BS in Architectureand Sustainability at Ferris State University.  Brean Bush is in the MARCH program at Lawrence Tech University will receive $500.  She is from Gowen, Michigan.   Suzann Bigelow is going to be a junior in the Bachelor’s Degree program at Lawrence Tech University and will receive $500.  She is from Rockford,  Michigan.   Ashley Brenner is in the MARCH program at Lawrence Tech University will receive $500.  She is from Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Since 2006, AIA Grand Rapids has provided $11,000 in scholarships to architectural students.  The main fundraising mechanism for this scholarship is the organization’s annual golf outing, which will be in early June at Thornapple Pointe Golf Club.
