Tracy L. Ezell, AIAGR Michigan Director (May 2015-December 2015)
Tracy joined the team at Owen-Ames-Kimball Company in July of 2011 as staff architect in charge of in-house design for the firm’s Department of Design/Build Services. Prior to accepting the position at OAK and relocating to Grand Rapids, Tracy served 13 years as the lead architect and president of the design component of a large Design/Build – General Contractor in Southwest Michigan, where he also served as Michigan Director for AIA Southwest Michigan.
Tracy received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Detroit in the fall of 1990 and married his wife, Laura, a mere seven days later! Tracy and Laura have three children: Gabrielle (23), Christian (23), and Jackson (18) and have recently become parents to an English Bulldog puppy named Darcy.
Upon graduation, Tracy served as an architectural intern for 3 years in a residential design firm before leaving to join the construction field as a residential framing and interior trim carpenter. Tracy continues his passion for construction with the occasional DIY project for friends and family, and currently spends time repurposing old materials into current, functional pieces of furniture. When not tinkering around in the garage, he tries to squeeze in an ugly round of golf.
