Event Date:
Friday, December 12, 2014 - 11:30am to 1:30pm
Event Type:
Lunch & Learn
Event Location:
FSU\GRCC Applied Technology Center, 151 Fountain NE, Room 232, Grand Rapids MI 49503

John Ratter of Tremco will be hosting the 11:30 am session and will be presenting on their service of electronically analyzing and reporting on existing buildings. Would you like to know what is hidden under a roof or wall before construction starts on a building?  This service can expose building deficiencies so that your client isn't hit with surprizes during the construction process that are hidden from view but not hidden from some of the new technologies.   If you do work on existing buildings, this presentation will be a must see.

Belden Brick will be hosting the 12:30 pm portion of the lunch and learn and will be presenting on "Thin-Clad Stone Designs."  Their presentation will cover adhered veneer, curtain wall, and back drained and ventilated rainscreens aesthetics and wall design.  Two distinct installation systems will be discussed and the wide variety of potential uses for Thin-Clad Stone materials.  These uses will cover both interior and exterior veneer applications.  The presentatin will focus on both adhered masonry and "clipped" or anchored veneers.

Both sessions will be submitted for HSW credits.

Lunch will be provided. This lunch and learn is free to all current AIAGR members and students. Non-AIAGR members must pay $15 by check (make checks out to AIA Grand Rapids and send to AIA Grand Rapids, Attention: Deborah Dik, 10238 10 Mile Road, NE, Rockford, MI 49341) or by credit card at Eventbrite.
