his course defines the latest code and testing requirements for water, air and fire considerations in exterior wall assemblies. Participants will learn the various options for water and air control while exploring various wall assembly designs. In addition, participants will be introduced to building science analysis tools to recognize the impact of various designs on long-term building performance. This course offers HSW credits.
Second Hour Session:
The 12:30 session will be on Building Enclosure Commissioning by Ross Smith from the Grand Haven firm of Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates. Ross's session will look at Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx) including a brief history of BECx, the purpose of BECx, case studies representing applications of BECx for existing buildings and new construction, and some tools of the trade. This session will offer 1 AIA learning unit.
Lunch will be provided. This lunch and learn is free to all current AIAGR members and students. Non-AIAGR members must pay $15 by credit card at Eventbrite.
